Alaties Beach (Salty Beach) is a fairly hidden and thus unknown beach, located in northwest of Kefalonia. The intersection for Alaties Beach is located on the main road from Argostoli to Fiskardo, in the settlement of Maganos.

Besides the beautiful sandy beaches with the crystal clear deep waters and landscapes that will leave you breathless, there is another reason to visit Kefalonia, especially if you are a nature lover. And that reason is the fauna of the island and mostly its endangered species.

Makris Gialos is the most famous organised beach in Kefalonia, with plenty of facilities. The beach is located in Argostoli-Airport road, 2 km outside of the capital centre, in the Lassi area. It is the beach that every traveler who likes organised beaches should visit during his holidays in Kefalonia.

Karavomilos is a picturesque fish village in the west part of Sami and 1 km from the harbor. The village is a pole of attraction for the visitors, as very close to it, are some of the most famous natural sights in Kefalonia. The cave of Drogarates and the lake of Melissani.

A quite coastal settlement located 40 km south west of Argostoli, Poros is an ideal choice for visitors who seek to find something more genuinely Greek, tranquile and pure.

Skala is located on the southeastern end of Kefalonia, around 35 km away from Argostoli and 12 km away from Poros.

The village is set in a wide bay with a long tree-lined waterfront and wonderful views across to the island of Ithaca. The delightful waterfront, the wide paved streets and the Venetian buildings offer the village a unique charm and reflect the rich heritage of the island.

Known for its ruddy sand and clay cliffs, Xi Beach, is located in the area of Palliki, south of Lixouri. It is just 8 kilometers from the city and is vibrant and cosmopolitan.

The sink holes of Argostoli are still considered a mystery and are part of a rare geological phenomenon of Kefalonia. Katavothres is located 3km outside Argostoli and it is a must-see attraction because of its natural beauty and a famous club-café situated there.

A narrow strip of water, just 3 miles wide, separates the north side of Kefalonia from Ithaki, making it ideal for a one day (or even more) excursion from the largest island in the Ionian Sea.
